
Beijing Daxing International Airport Economic Zone
a) Basic information
Beijing Daxing International Airport Economic Zone was established with the approval of the State Council. The core area covers an area of about 150 square kilometers, of which about 50 square kilometers are in Beijing and about 100 square kilometers are in Hebei. The zone is planned to have three major sections: aviation logistics, technology innovation, and service support.
The Beijing part of the economic zone is divided into two areas: east and west. The west area covers about 26 square kilometers and is planned for international life and health industry, international technology innovation, international schools, international hospitals, and supporting facilities. The east area covers about 24 square kilometers and is planned for central ecological park, international exhibition center, international conference center, international consumer hub, national gateway business, and comprehensive bonded zone.
b) Main industries
Focusing the two major attributes of being an aviation-oriented and international communication zone, the economic zone is building a development system of "1+2+2" aviation-related industries, led by the life and health industry, and supported by aviation hub and aviation service industries, supplemented by the new generation of information technology and intelligent equipment.
c) Enterprise situation
As of July 2022, there were 2,961 registered enterprises in the Daxing economic zone, including 2,908 domestic enterprises and 53 foreign-funded enterprises, among which 19 are Fortune Global 500 companies. The main categories of the settled enterprises are biomedicine, aviation services, aviation logistics, consulting, and service industries.
d) Supporting policies
Daxing International Airport Economic Zone is the only policy supported zone in Beijing that integrates free trade zones, Zhongguancun technology innovation, and the expansion of the Beijing service industry's opening up.
