a) Basic Information

Nansha became an administrative district of Guangzhou in 2005, and was approved as a national new area and a pilot free trade zone in 2012 and 2014 respectively. Nansha New Area covers a total area of 803 square kilometers, with 3 streets and 6 towns. It is divided into one central part with other four areas according to its geographical location.

The pilot free trade zone covers an area of 60 square kilometers and is divided into seven functional zones: the Port Area - International Shipping Development Cooperation Zone (15 square kilometers), the Pearl Bay Starting Area - Financial and Business Center Agglomeration Zone (9 square kilometers), the Nansha Hub Area - Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Integration Development Pilot Zone (10 square kilometers), the Qingsheng Hub Area - International Cooperation Zone for Scientific and Technological Innovation, International Education, and Modern Service Industry (8 square kilometers), the Nansha Bay Area - Guangzhou Coastal International Gateway, International Scientific and Technological Innovation Cooperation, and Cultural and Creative Zone (5 square kilometers), the Jiaomen River Central Area Zone - Business and Office and Scientific and Technological Innovation Agglomeration Zone (3 square kilometers), and the Wanhengsha Bonded Port Manufacturing Area Zone - Third-generation Semiconductor, Intelligent Connected Vehicle, and International Processing and Trade Transformation and Upgrading Service Area (10 square kilometers).

b) Main Industries

Nansha actively builds an innovative industrial system, promotes the integration of advanced manufacturing and modern service industries, highlights the development of headquarters economy, digital economy, and green economy, gathers resource elements from all over the world, vigorously develops five key leading industries of shipping and logistics, high-end manufacturing, financial and business, scientific and technological innovation, and health and wellness, and gathers and develops new industries and formats such as IAB and NEM.

c) Enterprise Situation

Key enterprises include Baosteel Nansha Logistics Base, Evergrande New Energy Vehicle Research and Production Base, Yuexiu Group, Guangzhou Nansha Artificial Intelligence Industry Research Institute, etc.

d) Supporting Policies

Nansha District: The basic policy is the "1+1+10" industrial policy system of Guangzhou Nansha New Area (Pilot Free Trade Zone). The "1+1+10" industrial policy system mainly includes one guiding document, one management method for industrial development funds, and 10 industrial policies.
