Changzhou National High-tech Development Zone
a) Basic Information
Currently, it has jurisdiction over 5 towns and 5 streets, a provincial-level economic development zone, and a comprehensive bonded zone, with an area of 508.91 square kilometers and a population of 894,500.
It has the entire 25.8 kilometers of the Yangtze River shoreline in Changzhou, as well as the national first-class open port - Changzhou Port and the largest inland river port in the province - Benniu Port, and has opened international ocean shipping routes. The Changzhou Benniu International Airport located in the district is now being operated by 14 airlines, serving 30 domestic and international cities.

In 2021, the GDP of the high-tech zone reached 182.037 billion yuan, an increase of 9% year-on-year; the per capita GDP exceeded 200,000 yuan; the general public budget revenue was 14.159 billion yuan; the total output value of industries above designated size reached 301.177 billion yuan, ranking first in the city; the total market value of listed companies exceeded 300 billion yuan, reaching a historical high. The comprehensive ranking of national high-tech zones has been promoted to 23rd in the country and 13th in the top 100 regions with comprehensive strength.
