The first Kunming Flower International Forum was held in the Jinning District of Kunming, China on September 8, 2023. The purpose of this forum was to promote the green development of Kunming's flower industry and facilitate international exchange and cooperation.

Leaders from various departments and organizations, including the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs' Agricultural Research Center, the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences Overseas Agricultural Research Center, the China Flower Association, Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Yunnan Provincial People's Government Foreign Affairs Office, Yunnan Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce, attended the event. The forum also invited foreign diplomats from various consulates in Kunming, representatives from the Benelux Chamber of Commerce, Fupeng Asia Limited, among other domestic and international business representatives.

The Finance Minister of Chamer of Benelux Commerce, ARTxDIGI’s partner, Grace Shi, was a special guest who discussed two key aspects: the attractiveness of foreign direct investment and the potential for digital infrastructure development. She engaged in in-depth discussions with the attending leaders and guests.
1. FDI factors

Several factors influence the decision-making process for foreign direct investment:
- Policy stability increases a company's trust in the government's market and willingness to cooperate.
- The size and growth potential of the local market determine the investment intensity.
- Free trade zones provide preferential policies such as trade protection and tariff reductions.
- Well-developed transportation and infrastructure facilitate production and sales.
2. Digital Platform

Currently, Kunming is making efforts in two directions: building a modern flower industry system and enhancing the "Chinese Spring City" brand. It promotes the integration of the flower industry chain, accelerates the empowerment of technology, culture, digitization, and branding. The goal is to establish Kunming's flower industry as a leading global flower landmark.
Therefore, digitization is a focal point for the flower industry, both locally and nationally. ARTxDIGI explained how to create a comprehensive digital platform, bringing significant growth and convenience to the entire industry in areas such as production, sales, transportation, and taxation.
3. Cooperation Strategy

In the speech, Grace introduced successful cases from other industries to introduce the development concept of "attract, establish roots, and grow into a forest" to all the attendees. Through the collaboration between ARTxDIGI, the government, and the Benelux Chamber of Commerce, they leveraged resources from various parties to facilitate cooperation in multiple domains. This collaborative effort aimed to provide strong support for foreign investment enterprises in the flower industry, ensuring their successful establishment and ultimately achieving a win-win strategy.
